Originariamente fondata nel 1798 come Aldour Distillery (e ribattezzata Blair Athol nel 1825), la distilleria è di proprietà di Diageo. I suoi distillati sono un componente importante dei loro blend. Blair Athol è corposo e tende tipicamente verso le note di frutta secca. Questo distillato robusto si presta bene all'invecchiamento o all'affinamento in botti più pesanti. Affinamento in botti di Sherry Oloroso.
