The grapes for this South Tyrolean wine receive an extra dose of sunshine: they grow on slopes with gradients of up to 40 percent high above Lake Kaltern. At the same time, they benefit from the alpine freshness. No wonder such a crystal-clear wine is produced! The wine is named after Verena, the mother of Jakob Nicolussi-Leck. On the nose, it offers aromas of apple and pear, fresh herbs, yellow fruit, a hint of pineapple, and a slightly nutty note. It caresses the palate with freshness and a smooth texture. Pinot Blanc is a great match for vegetables! Try it with quiche or risotto with vegetables. Or treat it to a lake fish in a cream sauce.
