A village wine in the Burgundian style: The vines for Vi de Villa de Corullón grow on approximately 200 plots in the municipality of Corullón, with vines up to 120 years old. The soils originate in part from the oldest geological formation in Europe. The blend consists predominantly of Mencía, complemented by local white varieties that lend a fresh note. Aroma and flavor are reminiscent of blackberries, currants, and Mediterranean herbs. Fine, silky tannins give it a smooth mouthfeel. It pairs perfectly with grilled or braised red meat, game, Mediterranean dishes with herbs and mushrooms, as well as aged cheeses and hearty tapas. Tip: Aerate well before serving.
