Deep, dark violet. The bouquet of this consistently highly rated wine is exceptionally complex: aromas of porcini mushrooms, almonds, figs, violets, tar, smoke, and black cherries rise to the nose. Extremely dense and complex on the palate with a very good, firm structure. With further aging, the currently youthful, present tannins will integrate beautifully. Incredibly long and intense finish. Decanting this wine is highly recommended.
