Sostegno is a successful blend of Barbera and Pinot Nero. The aroma evokes the red fruits of the Barbera, melding with the spice of the Pinot Nero. It is intense yet not heavy. Elegant and refined, as are the finely polished tannins for which Alfieris are known. The oak aging subtly complements the fruit aromas, making it a very drinkable cuvée, ideally suited as a sophisticated house wine!
