This exceptional blended Scotch whisky is called "7 Yards," a name chosen based on the minimum age of the components used in this malt. The name "yards" comes from its creator, Jérôme Tessendier, who was impressed by the cellar height during his first visit to the Scottish distillery. The casks can be stacked up to seven layers high, which is roughly equivalent to seven yards. This blend matured for seven years in bourbon barrels in Scotland and then for three months in France in old cognac oak casks.
