Seven Yards Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey, 7y

Why 7 Yards? The "7" represents the minimum age of the selected malts for this blend. "Yards" because its creators, Jérôme and Lilian Tessendier, were impressed by the cellar height during their first visit to the Scottish distillery. The casks can be stacked up to seven layers high, which is roughly equivalent to seven yards. At the highest point, the whisky develops its most concentrated aromas thanks to the higher temperature and humidity. This blend, composed of several single malts, initially matured for seven years at the Tomatin distillery, located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, in used bourbon barrels, and then for three months in France, in old French cognac oak casks. On the nose, it reveals roasted aromas reminiscent of fine tobacco, accompanied by dried plums. On the palate, it is a round and generous whisky with a dry character and woody and spicy notes in the finish. The 7 Yards offers plenty of drinking pleasure, whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks or as a cocktail!
