This cognac is the perfect union of French cognac masters and the exotic aromas of rare Japanese Mizunara oak. Initially matured in Limousin oak and then finished for six months in Mizunara oak, it unfolds a symphony of aromas with sweet floral elements typical of a Borderies cognac. Notes of toffee, candied orange, and cedarwood also envelop the nose. Refined smoky and spicy components are characteristic of the finish in the exclusive Mizunara oak cask. On the palate, the cognac is soft, round, and elegant. Mizunara lends the cognac depth and a marriage of complex spicy and fruity notes such as fresh fig, cloves, coconut and hazelnut, plums, and apricots.
