The bouquet evokes neroli, grapevines, and orange blossom, along with a vibrant oyster shell and granite minerality, enhanced by fresh lime, lemon, and gooseberry with a hint of pine needles and verbena. The flavors open with a touch of freshness and glycerin, carrying elegant white spring flowers—jasmine and white rose—along with a resounding array of fruits: Vosges lemon candy, gooseberry, grapefruit, mandarin, and guava. The finish is balanced, precise, mineral, and elegant, revealing white currants, apricots, acacia honey, and quince paste. The 2020 "L'Après-Midi" will benefit from a few years of aging to develop further complexity and express the originality of the vintage.
