Saison Rum Trinidad Triple Cask 7 y

This rum is 100% from Trinidad and is the result of a meticulous selection of distillates from the unique terroir of this Caribbean island. Master Blender Jérôme Tessendier's intention is to present the typicity of this terroir in perfect balance, thanks to the richness and intensity from the distillation of molasses in pot stills combined with the finesse and lightness from the distillation of sugarcane in column stills. The selected rums are aged for five years in American white oak barrels that previously held bourbon. This aging process takes place on the island of Trinidad, where the high humidity and tropical heat significantly contribute to the development of mature, highly concentrated aromas. The aged batches of rum then travel across the ocean to France to be blended by Cognac master Jérôme Tessendier. In France, the rums are blended according to the criteria of floral, fruity, and spicy notes and then aged for a further 24 months in various French oak barrels. This results in a mature, very harmonious rum whose typical aromas are accompanied by notes of tobacco, chocolate, and vanilla. The finish is long, spicy, and warming. No added sugar.
