Marcel Couturier's small estate, located in Fuissé, was recently hailed by Robert Parker as the new Chardonnay icon of the Mâconnais! This elegant Burgundy comes from vines over 50 years old, cultivated organically. Its inviting bouquet is typical of a Côte de Beaune Chardonnay, reminiscent of tropical aromas of pineapple and passion fruit, as well as grapefruit and spicy lemon verbena. These aromas develop further in the glass, blending with the delicate toasty notes from the oak, adding subtle hints of almond and hazelnut. On the palate, Le Bourg displays an invigorating smoothness, precise acidity, generous yellow fruit flavors, and exciting minerality. A white Burgundy with good aging potential, it is also enjoyable when young, provided it is decanted.
