Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru Aux quarts 2023, 75 cl

The southern and renowned Burgundy appellation of Pouilly-Fuissé produces this charming and smooth Mâconnais wine. This Premier Cru comes from very old Chardonnay vines planted in limestone soils and spent a year in barriques. This aging process imparts a powerful nose of brioche, fresh butter, and almonds, complemented by the scent of small white flowers. On the palate, it reveals an inviting smoothness, mineral notes, and citrus fruits, balanced by harmonious acidity, giving it an exciting length. It's worth noting that after 14 years of administrative procedures and various studies, the state confirmed the INAO's decision to recognize 200 hectares of Pouilly-Fuissé as Premier Cru. This is a first for the Mâconnais region.
