Philipponnat Les Cintres Extra Brut 2009, 75 cl

A very spicy nose with notes of musk, nutmeg, cloves, black pepper, and apricot kernel. Mineral and fresh, with notes of ripe white peach and dark fruits, such as black Morello sour cherry. The finish is complex and intense with notes of toasted grain and malt. Les Cintres belongs to a trio of single-vineyard cuvées, of which 2009 is the third vintage after 2006 and 2008. The cuvée comes from vines on the sun-drenched slopes. The oldest vines (up to 70 years old) thrive in the heart of this exceptional vineyard.
