An elegant, expressive, very harmonious, youthful wine with great aging potential. Its aromatic profile is broad and diverse, undoubtedly due in part to the mixed planting typical of Portugal in the over 20-year-old vineyard. Alongside the fruitiness and pronounced spiciness are the floral notes so characteristic of Douro wines: lavender, violet, lilac, black tea, and thyme. Its distinctive flavor unfolds with force and remarkable length on the palate. The tannins are present but finely structured. This wine will provide great pleasure for many years to come, revealing new aromatic facets with each vintage. Quinta das Bandeiras is essentially the Douro Superior wine of Quinta de La Rosa. Bandeiras is located opposite Vale Meão. The estate (100 hectares) was purchased in 2005 by the Bergqvist family of Quinta de la Rosa. It is a joint venture with the renowned oenologist Jorge Moreira.
