This 1994 vintage from Northern England matured for a full 28 years in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask and proves once again how good the style of these single grain whiskies can be when crafted in the right hands. Its mature aromas, reminiscent of lemon zest, vanilla cream, and caramel wafers, are evident on the nose. On the palate, accompanied by vanilla ice cream, white chocolate, and grated nutmeg, this single grain finishes with a long aftertaste of Madagascan vanilla and licorice.
