Moncerbal 2021, 75 cl
CHF95.00
It originates from various parcels within the municipality of Moncerbal. In total, it comprises one and a half hectares, predominantly planted with Mencía grapes, on steep, southwest-facing slopes. Slate dominates the soils, interspersed with quartzite, sandstone, clay, and marble. In contrast to the cool and spicy "Las Lamas," Moncerbal displays a warmer character with abundant ripe fruit aromas, accompanied by a lively acidity and somewhat more pronounced tannins. The palate is long and lingering, with intense flavors of sweet strawberries, vanilla, roasted nuts, and eucalyptus. Whether young or aged, this wine will bring exceptional pleasure to the wine lover. Decanting is recommended (especially when young). It pairs perfectly with herb-crusted rack of lamb or creamy mushroom risotto. Aged hard cheeses or Iberian ham also complement the wine's aromatics beautifully.
