Miltonduff Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, 9 years 2012, 75 cl

This Miltonduff matured for eight years in a first-fill American oak Oloroso sherry cask, followed by over a year of finishing in a first-fill European oak cask. This double-sherry cask maturation method produced a robust, rich, full-bodied, and elegant whisky. The nose is captivating with aromas of warm Jamaican gingerbread, candied orange peel, and caramelized brown sugar. On the palate, it impresses with notes of mocha, sugared almonds, tobacco leaves, peppercorns, and orange peel. It leaves a lingering, pleasantly sweet aftertaste.
