On the nose, this Merlot initially presents itself as distinctly spicy and dominated by the toasty aromas from oak aging. Later, fragrances of delicate rose and lily, cassis, plum and blackberry, coconut, cocoa, and black olives unfold. Tannins and acidity are perfectly balanced, and the body is powerful. On the palate, it is remarkably fleshy with a wonderful wealth of aromas. It is firm and taut, culminating in a long, juicy finish.
