Mannochmore Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, 10y 2012, 70 cl

A limited-edition whisky from the Mannochmore distillery in Speyside, bottled exclusively for Baur au Lac Vins by Signatory Vintage and its owner Andrew Symington, a leading figure among independent whisky bottlers. This single malt matured for 10 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt and displays an intensely warming and dark spiciness on the nose with nutty notes, hints of chocolate, toffee, orange peel, and dark fruits. The opening is powerful; the spicy aromas from the bouquet are mirrored on the palate, leaving, in typical Mannochmore fashion, a warming, sweetish sensation in the mouth.
