"Les Aubaguetes" is a loving play on the Catalan word for shade – "Auba." The afternoon breeze and the shady location provide freshness, while the dark slate retains warmth – an interplay that shapes the wine's character. Vines over 100 years old, the unique microclimate, and the slate soil form the basis for a wine of great depth. The nose reveals sour cherry, dark berries, and floral notes. On the palate, it is fleshy, vibrant, mineral, and characterized by ripe tannins. Despite its immense concentration, it impresses with a silky texture and remarkable length. A Priorat for special occasions – ideal with game, lamb, spicy mushroom dishes, or simply enjoyed on its own in a large glass.
