Elvillar is a small town in the province of Álava, which belongs to the Rioja Alavesa wine region. The Tempranillo vines for this powerful wine were planted in 1960, and the single vineyard La Poza de Ballesteros comprises only 1.18 hectares. The exposure to the afternoon sun and deeper soils allow the grapes to ripen fully. On the palate, it impresses with great depth of fruit, including dark fruit notes, a hint of mint, and tobacco. It finishes with a smooth texture, supported by dense and well-structured tannins. Very expressive and profound!
