Grappa di Barolo Ginestra

This grappa was distilled from the pomace of the single vineyard Ginestra in Monforte d'Alba. The Conternos family, highly praised in wine circles, produce their Barolos from the Ginestra grapes. Paolo Conterno's grappa is distilled by the renowned Distilleria Marolo in Alba and aged there for several months in barriques. The Ginestra grappa presents typical grappa notes on the nose, reminiscent of licorice, leather, and fruity pomace. The mouthfeel is warm and creamy. A subtle sweetness brings back the pleasant licorice and leather notes. A floral grape aroma accompanies the long finish.
