This powerful Riesling comes from one of the most valuable and characterful locations in Forst an der Weinstrasse / Palatinate. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate describes this wine as follows: "The 2020 Ungeheuer GC opens with a warm, intense and elegant, concentrated and even rich nose with iodine and dried porcini aromas. A bit Jura in style. Pure, fresh and saline on the palate, this is a dense, savory and tensioned Riesling with an almost austere but tight finish with enough concentration and fine tannin structure for a long life. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in November 2022."
