Estate Chardonnay 2023, 75 cl

A complex food wine from the south of New Zealand! This single-varietal Chardonnay impressively showcases its unique character and reflects the climatic conditions of the singular landscape in the South Pacific. The 2021 vintage has the potential to become one of the best of the last two decades. It's a shame there isn't more! A pronounced bouquet of ripe, yellow fruits, buttery brioche, and roasted hazelnuts with a hint of flint wafts to the nose. On the palate, stone fruit and a nutty complexity result from natural fermentation are revealed. A mineral, lingering finish. Pairs well with light meats with cream sauces and creamy risotto.
