Classified as a Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) by the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates, it belongs to the top tier of German vineyards. This Riesling from the Ruwer is as fresh as spring water! Quite fitting, as the wines of the Karthäuserhof estate were traditionally cooled in the Eitelsbach, a tributary of the Ruwer. This explains the neck band on the bottle instead of a classic label. On the nose, this clear, vibrant white wine displays a bouquet of yellow stone fruit, citrus fruits, and green apple. On the palate, it combines finesse with intensity, is rich and juicy with a pronounced minerality. The wine comes from the legendary Karthäuserhofberg vineyard, which was first documented in 1223.
