The Mackmyra distillery is located in the Swedish city of Gävle and was founded by a group of eight old university friends who pioneered the craft. This whisky challenges traditional conventions and, with its modern and experimental style, is typically Swedish, produced with great love and care for the environment. The Mackmyra matured for eight years in a virgin American oak single cask in the old Bodas mine, 50 meters underground. Sweet and fruity on the nose, with aromas of ripe, juicy peaches and banana candy on the palate. The finish is long and smooth, characterized by the scent of sweet fruit. What began as an idea during the lockdown in Great Britain has become a reality.
