Deidesheimer Kalkofen GC Riesling 2020, 75 cl

The Kalkofen Riesling comes from the warm "Grand Cru" vineyard in Deidesheim on the Mittelhaardt. It grows on soil composed primarily of limestone, loam, marly clay, and limestone gravel. On the nose, it unfolds a dense array of fruit aromas reminiscent of pineapple, lemon, and star fruit, accompanied by a delicate, smoky chalky note. On the palate, it initially displays charm, then emerges with considerable power and a vibrant acidity. A fine saline vein weaves through the citrus flavors. A great Riesling with a polished structure and a long, aromatic finish. Tip: Decant before serving!
