Cabernet Franc, often called "the Frenchwoman," usually plays a harmonizing role as a blending partner in great Bordeaux wines or as a strong soloist in the Loire Valley. Here in the canton of Zurich, however, this wine shines as a standalone gem, its character reminiscent of a noble relative from Bordeaux. A complex array of aromas, including sour cherries, hibiscus blossoms, a touch of licorice, and tea leaves, combines to create a spicy and fruity composition. From the very first sip, you'll notice its elegant richness and soft, juicy character, making it a very charming and balanced Cabernet Franc. On the palate, aromas of dark berries, orange zest, and a hint of tobacco shimmer.
