The old Gamay vines (35-80 years old) grow on steep, sun-drenched terraces within the historic Clos des Corbassières. The first Gamay vines were planted at the beginning of the last century. This Gamay exudes a generous aroma of raspberries, rose petals, cooked red plums, vanilla, and sweet tobacco. On the palate, it unfolds with a velvety, juicy, and fresh character. It is very drinkable and offers great pleasure when served slightly chilled. The aromas are reminiscent of blueberry jam, sour cherries, and a hint of graphite. The finish is long and full-bodied. A culinary all-rounder that will pleasantly surprise connoisseurs. Feel free to serve it as an alternative to white wine.
