Clos de Mangold Vieilles Vignes (Chasselas) 2024, 75 cl
CHF22.00
The over 50-year-old Chasselas vines in Clos de Mangold grow almost exclusively on stony gypsum soil, which produces unique wines of refined elegance. The Chasselas grapes from the oldest vines in this vineyard develop intense aromas. The nose reveals scents of citrus fruits, acacia blossom, flint, pear, and a hint of smoke. On the palate, the wine is juicy, creamy, powerful, and with a mineral character. Aromas of yellow exotic fruits, as well as pears, are reminiscent of this wine. A slightly chalky note from the gypsum soil is perceptible on the tongue. The finish is long, harmonious, and fruity-concentrated.
