The Schloss Gobelsburg team proves with its sparkling wine that it has mastered the "Méthode traditionnelle" modeled after Champagne. It's no wonder that Gault&Millau named it "Sparkling Wine of the Year 2017." Its bouquet features apricot, a hint of quince, acacia blossom, warm brioche, and a delicate yeasty note with a touch of honey. The mouth-filling mousse feels creamy and smooth. A pronounced mineral bitterness supports the ripe fruit aromas and lingers through to the finish. In short: It doesn't always have to be Champagne!
