Benrinnes Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, 14 years 2009, 75 cl

This full-bodied whisky comes from the Benrinnes distillery in the Speyside region, which was founded in 1826. True to the distillery's typical style, this single malt is rich and delicate on the nose with subtle oak smoke, accompanied by notes of walnut oil, demerara sugar, and an inviting, sweet creaminess derived from its maturation in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. On the palate, it is soft and creamy with plenty of dark cocoa and ginger biscuits. The finish leaves a sweet sensation with warming hints of oak smoke.
