Beldorney is a wardhead, meaning the base of the whisky is the well-known Glenfiddich with a dash of Balvenie added. In whisky jargon, this is called a "teaspooned" whisky. On the nose and palate, aromas of green apple, apricot, sweet vanilla, and a touch of pepper emerge. Add a few drops of water, and nuances of apple pie, hazelnuts, and a hint of sherry and licorice unfold. The finish is long and lingering with a pleasantly light honey sweetness.
