Baron Sigognac Millennium
CHF3,700.00
At least 60 years in oak barrels, then at least 40 years in demi-Johns! In Armagnac, legend tells that one day, long ago, Baron de Sigognac brought all the traditional clocks out of his cellars. Fascinated by the mystery of Armagnac's aging, he had some very peculiar timepieces made. On these clocks, the dial had ten divisions instead of twelve. The seconds had become years, the large hand moved only once per decade, and the hour hand marked the centuries... Baron de Sigognac had discovered the core of Armagnac's secret... Legend adds that in time, Baron de Sigognac trusted only his palate to determine the age of an Armagnac. The clocks were no longer wound. Baron de Sigognac himself had become the memory of his Armagnacs. Original tasting notes: A magnificent amber color with elegant mahogany highlights, a subtle bouquet that opens with beautiful notes of dried and crystallized fruits and vanilla. On the palate, it is exceptionally smooth, with fantastic balance and a long, elegant finish worthy of its age... Simply magnificent; an Armagnac of class and elegance, enveloped by natural aromas of old oak – a truly exceptional Armagnac!
