Complantation refers to the cultivation of different grape varieties in the same vineyard, with the different grapes being harvested at the same time. Deiss is reviving this historic Alsatian winemaking practice. This allows the grapes to better express their Alsatian terroir. Furthermore, the biodiversity of the different grape varieties protects them from disease and reduces the need for pesticides. Deiss is fully committed to respecting the environment and sustainability. Complantation is crisp and fruity on the nose with aromas of lemon, white blossoms, pineapple, and peach. On the palate, it is invigorating and exceptionally fresh and fruity with a slightly salty note. A very versatile food pairing wine.
